The Wampís Nation are an indigenous autonomous government who are fighting to stop rich investors from entering Wampis territory to carry out logging, oil extraction or mining.

By protecting an area of over 1.3 million hectares, they are helping to fight climate change and biodiversity loss – but they are receiving no recognition or support for their actions.
